This is not your typical beach house art. These multilayered pieces depict playful fish, squid, sea turtles, and octopuses swimming in tidal pools.

Each piece is created by carving a shape into a half-inch-thick block of wood. The interior features handmade, painted polymer clay figures, which are then encased in epoxy resin that dries to a hard, glassy finish. This unique technique was developed by artist Linda Olliver to create one-of-a-kind wall hangings.
